Tinbet started making jewelry in 1986 when she opened a gift shop , Heritage in Ivory Coast, Abidjan. and was fascinated with the beauty of jewelry from around the world. 

Tinbet travels to many countries and shops the local markets searching for beautiful beads and ornaments symbolic of the local women’s customs. Tinbet has watched craftsmen roll hot glass in their hands making tiny beads and values the richness of colors and textures created by the artisans.

Anania jewelry is named in honor of Tinbet’s daughter, Anania, because of the beauty and joy each brings to her life.
Anania means Unique. For Tinbet, making jewelry is more than a hobby; it is a connection with the oneness of all the
women of the world.
